Circle of Faith... where has it gone. Even though we had such a big beginning it doesn't mean we have been sleeping. " Waiting on the Lord ", this seems to have been what I have been doing, but that is what I felt in my spirit...I have been seeking HIS face and here are a few developments....
Rietvlei Farm: The trails have been used extensively and this has occupied most of my time.
1) We held the 24 Hour at the beginning of December 2009.
2) We held the Provincial MTB Champs at the end of January
3) We hosted the First National Championship Cup event in February
4) We hosted the Bicycling Ride Before You Buy event.
In January Marjo and I decided that the profit from the trails and the new structure will be used to fund The Circle of Faith... a mercy ministry. We started erecting our ablution block and admin office so that we can host various events. Namely, MTB races, cross country running, gospel gatherings, team and corporate team building. The profit raised will go into missionary work. We will not be a charity organisation that will hand out money on request. Rather we will do so anonomously. We strongly believe that charity begins at home but we will be lead as the Lord guides us. The structure has been named " The Shack"
What is in the immediate future?
As an inter-denominational ministry, we have started a Wednesday evening fellowship group at "The Shack". I listened to Angus Buchan lead 300,000 men through a sinners prayer and I believe that many, many of those men will stand up and be counted... "for many are called but few are chosen" Matthew 22:14. We will see those who truly have been touched by the Holy Spirit.
June 16th will again see the "Walk of Faith" take place on Rietvlei farm. Elkan Butler and his Gospel group will lead the praise and worship. We will be looking forward to once again gathering 500 people to hear the Lord's call.
In September we will be holding a "Dads 'n Lads" weekend. This will be a spiritual experience. The aim is to form a bond between Father and Son. Bonds that seem to get disjointed through the hustle and bussle of todays lifestyle and pressures.We want to rekindle their beliefs and Faith. To discover firmer foundations for their relationship. The aim is to learn from one another, discussing problems and situations. To form a bond between Dads 'n Lads, fostering a new bond and understanding.
